Please join the McLean County Bar Association for the Guardian Ad Litem Certification Seminar!
The program will be held on October 25 and 26 with check-in beginning each day at 8:30 a.m. The event is located at The Holiday Inn and Conference Center, 8 Traders Circle, Normal, Illinois.
This seminar is currently approved for certification as a GAL in the 11th Circuit. Please provide the seminar agenda to the presiding judge in your circuit to seek approval in that circuit.
Full Seminar Cost - [includes a morning and afternoon snack each day as well as a lunch]
$200 for 1 day of your choice
(Cost increases to $250 for MCBA/PCBA Members if registration and payment is received on or after October 06, 2023)
$300 MCBA/Peoria County Bar Association Members
(Cost increases to $350 for MCBA/PCBA Members if registration and payment is received on or after October 06 2023)
$350 Non-members
(Cost increases to $400 for non-members if registration and payment is received on or after October 06, 2023)
Refund Policy:
*Full refund less $50 Administrative Fee will be returned on or before Tuesday, October 17.
*No refunds on or after Wednesday, October 18.

Topics presented by Dr. David Thompson, Ph.D, Our Family Wizard and 30 GAL Tips in 60 minutes. There will also be a Guardianship Panel on this day. More program details will come soon. A Happy Hour will be hosted by the McLean County Bar Association within The Holiday Inn Lobby area.
GAL Conference Schedule (Day 2) thursday, october 26, 2023 - 5 hours cle
Topics presented by Hon. Scott Kording include Ethics and Case Law Updates. A Judges panel will incorporate their view from the bench and inside the courtroom. Lunch will be followed by topics on Diversity and Inclusion as well as experience as viewed through the eyes of school professionals.
