Description: Maladaptive Perfectionism refers to an unhealthy level of perfectionism and a refusal to accept any standard short of perfection leading to higher levels of work performance problems, mental health problems, life dissatisfaction and fear of failure. It can affect anyone no matter their social status, work background, skill level, or degree of expertise and often begins in childhood.

Participants in this program will learn:
• Why the legal profession is a vulnerable population;
• The common mental health issues associated with Maladaptive Perfectionism;
• The signs and characteristics associated with Maladaptive Perfectionism;
• How the origins of Maladaptive Perfectionism began; and
• What you can do to minimize these feelings as you navigate law school, and your career as an attorney or judge.
