ALA: Second Amendment Jurisprudence - 10/18
The Appellate Lawyers Association (ALA) Cordially Invites You to Attend an Appellate Practice Seminar:
SECOND AMENDMENT JURISPRUDENCE
2023 VIRTUAL LUNCHTIME
APPELLATE SEMINAR
Please attend our appellate practice seminar on the future of Second Amendment law. Topics that will be discussed include the Supreme Court’s upcoming oral argument in United States v. Rahimi, the workability of the originalist methodology announced in Bruen, and to what extent the Court will create categorical exceptions to the Second Amendment – such as the exceptions for “dangerous and unusual weapons” announced in Heller.
Our presenter, Ian Millhiser, has been writing and speaking about this topic. A Senior Correspondent at Vox, where he covers the Supreme Court, Mr. Millhiser clerked on the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit and has authored two books on the Supreme Court.
