SCBA Website - Is Your Online Profile Up to Date?
Hello Sangamon County Bar Association Member,
it is hard to believe, but it has been almost two years since we rolled out the new and improved SCBA website www.scba.cc Have you taken the time to log in and make sure your profile is accurate? Check out the Membership Directory and see what your profile looks like to the public.
Whether you pay your dues yourself, or your firm issues the check for you, it is very important that you log in regularly and make sure all information on your profile is accurate and up to date. We do our best internally to make sure we keep accurate records, but the only way we can do that is with your help. One of the most important things is making sure you are in the correct "Admitted to Practice" level. This being accurate is the only way to make sure each year you are paying the correct amount.
Please follow the instructions below to begin customizing your own membership profile, view the event calendar, and stay up to date on all SCBA related activities.
As a reminder, some of the great features of the site include:
A searchable membership directory (adding areas of law practiced labels to your profile improves your online visibility in Google searches)
An online event calendar with the ability to register and pay online
The ability to edit your directory profile (instructions on how to do this below)
The ability to pay your annual dues online
How to customize your directory profile:
Click on the Member Login tab
Select “Request Password”
Enter your email address and click on “Request Password”
Check your email for the password message and follow the instructions in that email. If you do not see the message, check your spam folder
Once you’ve received your temporary password go back to the MEMBER LOG IN tab of www.scba.cc and enter your email address and temporary password
Once logged in to the site you will see all of the pre-populated information that we have already entered on your behalf.
ABOUT TAB
Here you will see your name, law firm, law school, address, email, phone fax and website, admitted into practice date, membership level, etc. You now have the ability to edit all of this information so if you see anything that is incorrect or missing please update. Also from here you can change your password from the temporary password you were given to a password of your choice. Click Save & Continue when finished.
PROFILE TAB
Here you have the ability to upload your logo, upload pictures to create a photo gallery, create a small blurb about your business, add links to your social media platforms and lastly select your areas of law practiced. Click Save & Continue when finished.
ADDITIONAL TAB
Here you can list additional staff or additional locations. Click Save & Continue when finished.
SIGN OUT TAB
Click here once you have made all of your updates.
