New Virtual Hearings Process Available January 2025!

As a reminder, Illinois Secretary of State Alexi Giannoulias is excited to introduce the newly expanded Administrative Virtual Hearings process, now available via Microsoft Teams!
 
This innovative remote access initiative is designed to enhance efficiency and convenience for petitioners and their attorneys. Some key benefits include:

  • Time Savings: Virtual hearings eliminate the need for travel, significantly reducing time commitments for all parties involved.

  • Accessibility: Participants can join hearings from any location, making the process more accessible and flexible.

  • Cost Efficiency: By reducing paper usage, travel and associated expenses, virtual hearings offer a more cost-effective solution.

  • Enhanced Scheduling: The flexibility of virtual hearings allows for more streamlined and efficient scheduling, accommodating the needs of busy professionals.

 
Starting January 2025, all Formal Hearing locations in Chicago, Joliet, Springfield, and Mt. Vernon will offer virtual hearings. This expansion underscores Secretary Giannoulias’ commitment to leveraging technology to improve the administrative hearing process.
