Illinois State Bar Association Mock Trial - March 11 through 13

The Illinois State Bar Association is looking for volunteers for it's
Virtual Annual Mock Trial Tournament to be held on March 11 - 13, 2022 via Zoom.

The Invitational gives Illinois high school students a chance to learn what it is like to prepare and present a legal case before Illinois courts. Students gain an understanding of the justice system and improve their knowledge, skills, and ability to work as a team and articulate in a reasoned, thoughtful manner. Judges, lawyers, paralegals, law students and other legal professionals are needed to act as presiding judges, jurors/evaluators and bailiffs for each trial. You do not have to be a litigator to volunteer!

This year's case is a personal injury case involving a plaintiff injured at a youth camp.

To volunteer, fill out the volunteer form below by February 28, 2022.

After signing up, you will receive information about the program, including how to participate virtually. You will need an internet connection sufficient to participate via Zoom.

Volunteers must log in to the competition one hour prior to their sessions for orientation and placement into trial rooms, so please take this into consideration.

The case materials and other information are available on the ISBA High School Mock Trial webpage.
