Assistant General Counsel (Remote Considered)

Latitude is seeking an attorney to serve as an assistant general counsel for a company with operations in Indiana and Illinois. The successful candidate will have experience in labor and employment, real estate, and environmental and occupational health and safety regulatory compliance. In this role, you would work closely with the general counsel and the business teams addressing day-to-day legal needs. This is a part-time to full-time engagement and ideally will culminate in a permanent position with the company.
 
Minimum Qualifications of the Assistant General Counsel:

  • 3-5+ years of experience as an attorney either in-house or with a well-respected full-service law firm (or sophisticated boutique firm which serves large corporate clients).

  • Prior experience as an associate or counsel in an Am Law 200 law firm is preferred

  • Capability and experience to work independently

  • Licensed to practice law in Illinois and in good standing

  • Excellent academic credentials

  • Outstanding references
