ALA Moot Court Competition - Volunteers Needed
The Appellate Lawyers Association's annual Moot Court Competition will take place on November 4 & 5, 2022, in person at the Everett M. Dirksen U.S. Courthouse in downtown Chicago.
We need attorneys like you (yes, you!) to judge oral arguments at 10:00 a.m., 12:30 p.m., and 3:30 p.m. on Friday, November 4, and to grade briefs of law student contestants in October.
If you would like to volunteer in either capacity, please click here to download the registration form. Please complete and return the form to cteed@wmrhq.com. Moot Court judges will receive CLE credit. But Illinois MCLE rules do not reward CLE credit for grading briefs.
ALA members and their firms are also encouraged to sponsor the ALA Moot Court Competition. To learn more, or to sponsor the event, please click here to download the sponsorship brochure.
Please know that the time and effort you volunteer makes a great difference to the law student competitors, that is, our future colleagues, who benefit from this opportunity. And we very much appreciate your time and consideration.
