● Post Judgment Motions in Anticipation of Appeal: Don R. Sampen will present this topic. He is a partner at Clausen Miller, P.C. with over 30 years of trial and appellate experience. He has argued appeals in the Illinois Supreme Court and all five Illinois appellate court districts, as well as before various appellate state courts and in the United States Courts of Appeals for the Second, Seventh, Eighth, Ninth, Tenth and Eleventh Circuits.
● Sua Sponte Decisions on Appeal: E. King Poor will present this topic. He is a retired partner at Quarles & Brady LLP where he served as chair of the firm’s appellate practice group. He has appeared before the United States Supreme Court three times and has authored two petitions for certiorari granted by the Supreme Court.
