A Message from our President

 
Dear Members,
 
I am glad to report that so many of you have reupped your membership for 2021.  Considering we have been limited in our events due to COVID-19, your continuing dedication to this Association is greatly appreciated.  If you can please spread the word about membership and help us increase our membership, we are hopeful to begin having events as the weather improves.  If you know of anyone that is not already a member, please encourage them to go to our website (www.scba.cc) and join.
 
As we all know, vaccine distribution is in full swing throughout the State.  We highly encourage all members to get vaccinated at the earliest opportunity through the Sangamon County Department of Public Health (www.scdph.org).  Increasing herd immunity through vaccination makes it safer for us individually and for our families, friends, coworkers, employees, etc.  It will also allow us to reopen and have events for the entire Association.  To that end, we are already working on our Play Day (July 30, 2021), including reinstating a safe Play Day Dinner.  We are also working on a Smoker in either May or June at an outdoors location.  We are asking you to do your part in getting vaccinated and continue social distancing and wearing masks so that we can all get to the finish line of this pandemic together.
 
If there are any specific requests for events as we slowly come out of this crisis, we are willing to listen.  It is my wish to give you the best bang for the buck of your membership.  I am hopeful we can have events again soon and we will take the first opportunity we can to have safe and fun events once more.
